Nice to meet you, I’m SBT!

I am a special education teacher in the school district of Philadelphia. I came to the field of education as a Teach for America Corps Member, but I plan and hope to stay here for a long time.

I blog to shed light on the strengths and weaknesses of our city’s and country’s education system, and to bring introspection and improvement to my teaching craft. Enjoy the results!

Note: Of course I will talk about my students on this blog, given that they’re all I think about, but I will never mention first or last names, out of respect for their privacy.
